all hail the glorious holidays! to kickstart the term break, we went to the Royal Adelaide Show, which is like a humongous funfair.ferris wheel! we did not get to sit on it because when we got there the evening sun was setting and because it was irritatingly glaring, we planned to take in the night, but because we shopped around too much, we missed the last ferris wheel ride of the day :( next yr next yr!
one of the many stalls that charm and entice you with their very giganormous softtoys so that you pay 4 throws for 10 bucks into the big bucket. looks easy enough right?! that's what we thought. but no!!! the ball keeps bouncing back. viv and i literally threw $30 down the bucket. we are going to get a bucket to practice for next year and shall come back with a vengeance.
very tempting isn't it..
in the end we decide that throwing in money is no way to go because we won't have money to buy snacks for the shows later. so we had to resort to cheap thrills taking pictures with the softies.
i wanna bring you homeeee
swirling carousel
snack time, getting food for the shows!
my lovely jam donuts yummmm
saw a little girl by the hotdog stall, she tells me shes a leopard!
but we missed the pig race!! :( its literally a pig race where the pigs chase after something and round the pen they go. next yr next yr!
we then went to the racing course where there are tractors dancing and cars racing. they were fabulous! I think its difficulthere were bike stunts too but i was too wowed at every stunt to take them. its like u feel for them at every flip, worrying that they will break their necks, and waves of relief when they land properly.
two kids beside us. her little brother is only three years old but his elder sister boast to us that he can ride a 2 wheel bicycle at age of three, woots! and i thought the elder sis was very pretty.
there was an event where Miss Moo, a cow mascot for Farmer's Dairy were circling the racecourse to find someone holding a farmer's dairy milk bottle and to give out prize money of $500 and these kids beside us with their mother had heaps of milk bottles! so we helped them grovel for Miss Moo's attention, but a cow will always be a cow, a stupid one and missed us! how could she missed us!! so many milk bottles can!! I wanted them to win so badly I nearly wanted to do cartwheels(if i know how to) to attract the cow's attention. next yr next yr!
after the fireworks, which were amazing but shortlived, we shopped around for showbags. show bags are like a goodie bag which have maybe 180 bucks worth value inside but only cost 15 bucks. wanted to get the spongebob for the sister but I did not want the horrible black slingbag on the right side and wanted the laptop cover from that goodie bag. And i wanted the cute softtoys on the left and after much bargaining with the stall owner, she says no i can't swop them, so there, next yr next yr ok!
we ended the day with the jumping shot but failed :(
cold roll-sushi-curry puff-pandan cake session up next. back to assignments. ciao
