So sorry for the lack of updates. I have been busy with orientation. So far, its only an orientation for international students. Got to know people from many nationalities.zimbabwe, kenya, korea, japan, taiwanese,MALAYSIANS. Out of all the international students, 80% are malaysians, taking pharmacy. The whole lecture hall is talking in cantonese. Omg. I seriously cannot stand it. Now i know how marlinda feels when she's in 4e1

My social circle also has a majority of malaysians. But they are rather nice peeps i thought, although they still cannot resist talking in cantonese.grrr. But the good thing is, i am picking up cantonese.hee hee. mui gui fah(rose). But they say i suck :P

There are some more pictures from orientation

We spent a few hours in a wildlife park where there are kangaroos and wallabies roaming around. The wildife park is just like our botanic garden, only there ain't so many trees and flowers. There are vast fields with kangaroos hopping around. But I din manage to see any mother kangaroo with a baby kangaroo in the pouch :( But i saw alot of kangaroos with big manhoods lying around blatantly. Their balls are really gigantic, the size of fuji apples.

Its not a very clear picture of its obscenity because i am too embarrassed to go on snapping pics of their balls. but it is disgusting enough. you feel as though a naked man is lying there *shudders*

After the wildlife park, we went for a hotel reception. Actually I din want to go because i think i am still suffering from jet lag :P Felt very tired but my friends insisted on going because there's a lucky draw, a top prize of a ticket back to home country during summer. I think everyone misses home. It turned out that i won one of those consolation prizes worth $50.

The thing that i feared came through. For this lucky draw, you put in ur surname first in one blank, den another for first name. The emcee was like

''ahh this lucky winner goes by the last name of H.U. HU!!! now who is HU??''

damn it. den my friends all cheer me on den i started my way to the stage, with many people calling out to my surname HU HU HU, and sticking out their hands to high five with them, as though i win 1 million dollars like that. So i act high too.no choice i just high five all the way lo. Paisei till no words to describe.

but the ambience and everything ws great. the waiters just walk around with food and there was laughter and chatter in the whole ballroom filled with international students. I was surprised to know that they have wine counters. Free flow. Champagne, white wine, red wine, beer and orange juice. There's also finger food like swedish meatballs, sushi and vietnam rolls. Since there's only orange juice, I find it impossible to compromise on my view on orange juice so i took white wine. Its delicious. Yum.

The other outing was to the national wine centre and the rose garden outside it. We had a picnic in the Adelaide botanic garden. Everyone just sat under a tree and took out food we brought. I din take pictures because with food concerned, i am always engrossed in that. But now i understand why angmohs like to sit on the grass under the tree. Its just like sitting on velvet, with a little morning dew cooling our butts off and the soft ticklish feeling on our necks as we lie down on the grass and eat grapes we brought. hee.

many wine labels/v unique label/candid/me and yanping/by a lotus pond/roses/fantastic artistic shot/fir cone tree/stealing fruit

The trip on the second day was short so yanping decided to cook a comparatively decent meal. You know those packet ingredients where you just pour the ingredients in and walaa a pot of curry chicken is cooked. We thought we are so smart and a curry chicken will come in 20min.

We were so wrong..the curry turned out to be sai brown colour. it was very very distressing. Remember this brand.nv ever get this. Very ex leh..we always kena cheated by everything here. First its the kfc girl, second the day tour vietnamnese, third the taxi driver that drive without meter fourth by Rasaku :(

turned out we were desperate because the chicken was half cooked. we racked the cupboards and found a pack of curry powder! Hurray..so we recook and juz threw everything we found back into the wok and fry. hee. turned out to be ok.

We managed to find some kangkong. Its really precious. One stack about 20 stalks about $2.50 ok.Heart pain. We don't dare to ruin our precious kangkong so we got our housemate to cook for us.

Satisfying dinner.feels a little at home

by the way this is my new house.

i am tired already..shall blog about my beach trip next time. I am fine and settling down well. Take care babes, i miss you guys.
