i am sorry for the closing of my blog this few days. there were some stuff that i needed sorting out myself. been busy with my house and all. but now everything's clear. i know u girls check my blog everyday, and without this ranting blog i bet ur day will not be that bright :P

Here are some of the photos taken last week, starting with a housewarming in Ken's house, a new friend i got to know in orientation. He's singaporean as well. There's this sort of potluck. Yanping and I contributed the radish soup and kangkong. ok la, its yanping only. I used eyepower piu piu piu. but trust me that i am going to prove the whole world wrong by cooking one decent meal someday. Someday...

we went to glenelg beach last sunday, a tram ride away. its great!! its a really beautiful beach, and as quoted by yanping, once you come glenelg u will think sentosa is a joke. wells, i love sentosa and pasir ris all the same, but u have to come here to swim. the water is so clear!! not much pictures though. most photos with my other friends. There was a piano at the visitor centre, making me miss my piano so much.

As we still had a week before we start school, the peeps organised a trip to the farm barn and the strawberry farm(dream come true)

There was a strawberry farm one busstop away from the farm barn. We walked to this farm called the bendebeer strawberry farm if i am not wrong. Most of the pictures are with Ken because my batt went out. But I had a wondrous time here. Its really a dream come true for strawberry lovers. There were rows of strawberry bushes and you can pluck and pop them inside your mouth. My lunch was settled in the strawberry farm. Its cheap, a $2 access fee. Subsequent strawberries brought out of the farm cost $7.80 per kg, and being singaporeans and malaysians, and with ideal conditions, i.e. no one is watching, we put about 4 kg of strawberries in our bags and paid for only 400g of strawberries for show at the counter :)

after the strawberry farm, we walked another 2 bus stops down to this german town called harndolf. there's so many stuff there, ideal for gifts. I swear i am going back there to get presents and soveniers for you peeps. for example, there was a candy shop selling every candy imaginable, like candy necklace, a pretty shining necklace which can be eaten.

we took a bus back to the city, went back home for washing up and prepared for the orientation ball in school. thinking back, i wondered where we got all the energy. There were some rock bands performing. like all parties, the initial part was quite boring. its till the last band when everyone got together, jump about and raise their hands in the air. its my first experience as audience of a rock band and i must say that i really felt high. Another thing to note is that i think the dancing scene here is much more innocent than sleazy clubs in singapore. no hands involved. all hands were busy in the air waving.

We partied until quite late. The day after was spent at home resting. Carol, our senior cum housemate cooked lamb chops for us. previously there were some issues between us and our housemates. but everything was solved and carol was in a good mood so she cooked.

the past week has been rough, but things are seriously more or less settled. sorry if i let you girls worry. i am still getting used to the people here, especially australians who are a tad bit racist. i have encountered some racist situations already, its not pleasant, so i shall decline to describe.

I just went for Day 1 of my school. I like the modules in my course. there's only 8 asians in a class of 35. there this humongous angmoh of 1.9 metres. i think if i pair up with him during podiatry clinical, i will need 5 local anastetics to knock him off. The Ozzies here are abit weird. just because we cannot their slang sometimes, it doesn't mean that we don't understand english! i am seriously pissed with them when they speak to me thinking that i am some cheena person. There are 2 mothers in my course, i think they are about 40 years old alrdy. they wear long sighted glasses keke.

i have learnt in this short time to fend and think for myself. I will be good. No worries peeps. its going to make me stronger than anything. but dun worry, i am still the same old me. you girls promised huh, must come and visit me!! I love you all too. I truly do MUACKS.
